I love Cassie and her story so much; she goes from reluctantly helping her mother to being terrified of the thing in the basement, to being protective and smart and loyal. Her mother is also great, and the rest of the librarians who show up in the last part absolutely delightful.

The thing in the basement is giant and spider-like, which means my DNW sort of doesn’t apply here (and also, I have no idea why I love this story so much, because normally I would have noped out of this the second I figured it out). It is also, somehow, a delight.

In Other Lands - Sarah Rees Brennan

In Other Lands is a fantastic story, but it feels complete. (While I’d like to see their adventures as adults, that seems like a lot to ask in a fic exchange.) So I’m focused on Louise, an amazing warrior who lives loud and laughs often and fucks a lot. Louise is described very early on as a golden lioness at the family picnic, and she’s just glorious.

I really do love Elliot, Serene, and Luke, too, and ship the three of them together hardcore. Having them be a part of Louise's adventures would be wonderful, too, if you want to write about them as well, as long as the focus stays on Louise.

I love the delightful cheesiness of the world, and how much fun the characters have together, even when they’re bickering. I have only been able to watch season one so far, but am frantically trying to get ahold of the rest. I love the way their skills come together to save the day each time, and how they slowly learn to trust each other and manage to work together even when they don’t. I adore Cassandra and her math, but I love Jake and Ezekial and Eve a lot, too. (I like the actual Librarian okay, but mostly prefer stories without him.)

I ship Cassandra with her alternate universe self from "And the Loom of Fate," Cassandra/Ezekial/Jake, Cassandra/Eve, Cassandra/the majority of the women who have turned up in the show, Cassandra/crossover women.

For something a little more fraught, I'd be interested in fic in which Marcus's leg worsens after they return with the Eagle, so that he must rely upon his crutch at all times and limit the amount of walking he does in a day. How does that affect him and his relationship with Esca? Or if you feel like writing something completely different, I've always wanted a Viking AU in this fandom and haven't seen one yet.

Trick:
Werewolves. Kelpies. Any other British or Roman supernatural creature you're interested in. I don't really care for creature!fic in which Marcus or Esca is the creature in question (with the notable exception of werewolf fic, where I love it).

Kamet: Backstory about his time as a slave; you can focus on the good parts, e.g. his justified pride in his accomplishments and/or his friendship with Laela, or on the bad parts, or a mix. (No het and no rape, please, though canonical levels of creepiness from Nahuseresh is okay.) Or Kamet finally gets glasses. Or Kamet makes himself at home in Magyar...and if you wanted to focus mostly on alt!Hungary worldbuilding, that's cool, too.

Costis: I'm oddly charmed by Costis the naturalist--even if he has an ulterior motive in developing that interest--and would like to see more. Or Costis's reactions to more Ennikar and Immakuk stories.

Kamet/Costis: Post-canon first time fic, set either in Attolia or their house in Magyar, would be fantastic. I loved reading about the different sets of expectations that they're working with and would love to see that explored further. Also, getting to see Costis's thoughts on Kamet would be great, since Thick as Thieves focused so strongly on the reverse.

Aristogiton/Costis: Friends to lovers and/or a brothers in arms dynamic are what I love best about this pairing. Good-natured mockery of each other is a definite plus. Alternatively, hurt/comfort could be amazing, if that interests you.

Trick:
Obviously, Kamet or Costis or both have to encounter a real ghost. :-)

Katsu: When and why does Keita build Katsu? Or any cute domestic scene involving Katsu would be great: Katsu and the people he lives with, Katsu and socks, etc. I'm also amenable to fic in which Katsu moonlights as the world's most adorable sex toy.

Keita: If you're up for a challenge, I'd love to read a story from Keita's POV. Outsider POV or a loose 3rd person POV are also perfectly fine, though. I really like Keita's building clockwork and am especially intrigued by the locust clock; what was its original purpose and does it get repurposed as something important post-canon?

Thaniel: I'm interested in Thaniel's work as a telegraph operator, if you wanted to explore that.

Keita/Thaniel: Post-book fic focusing on their relationship would be the best. Maybe more about how Keita's abilities affect their lives together. Or domestic fluff involving Keita and Thaniel forming a family with Six (and optional Katsu when he returns).

So, I loved this movie, and I really, really loved Al — she’s hilarious and just so much herself through the whole thing. I loved the way she went along with all the weirdness of Gary’s growing fears, and her ridiculous truck, and just, like, everything.

I kind of wish we’d gotten more about Wendy, Al’s wife, in the movie, so if you’re interested in shipfic, something about their marriage that rounds Wendy out a bit could be great. And I love Al's friendship with Gary, so anything more about that would be amazing. A Gary/Sam and Al/Wendy double date could be fun — generic suburbiana on the surface, with all the we’re-not-talking-about-the-satanic-cult underneath it.

I love gen in this canon! For ships, I really enjoyed Kimmy and Perry in S3. I could also totally see Kimmy and Xan becoming closer and eventually getting together (maybe a few years down the road?). I also loved Lillian/Artie, and for background ships, I like Titus and Mikey and I totally think they’ll work it out eventually. I also could enjoy an original character of whatever gender as a love interest for Kimmy or Xan. I’d rather not see Jacqueline shipped with Kimmy or Xan. Kanato: I love Kanato dearly, so I'd be interested in just about anything with him. Kanato's average day? Kanato selecting prey? Kanato's terrible sportsmanship? Kanato as seen by his human classmates? Kanato and vampires who are not his immediate family? Kanato and his "dolls"? Kanato and Teddy? Kanato talking to himself in the mirror? No really, though. If you are down for it, I'd just as much love to see more Kanato/Yui as a couple who cannot possibly do normal couple things because they're both so thoroughly fucked in the head.

Yui: It's hinted a few times that Yui can see ghosts and possibly other supernatural phenomena, was that scary/upsetting for her or just something it took her a while to realize didn't happen to everybody? Yui's religion is mostly shown as a positive force in her life, and yet this is the same church that regularly sent sacrificial brides to the Sakamakis and dumped her at their mansion without explanation. Were there ever moments growing up when she doubted the church's teachings at all or found herself in trouble? Did Cordelia ever attempt to manifest when she was younger? Otherwise, I'm especially fond of her dynamic with Kanato (and the triplets in general) and Reiji, and anything with Yui dealing with the Sakamaki brothers is good!

How did he first start to hero worship her? What were their meetings like as childhood friends (probably the most inappropriately sweet thing in the game)? Have they learned anything from each other?

They'll likely have some hostility towards him considering all he's responsible for, so it probably won't be easy. Regardless of our personal reading of the connection between the three protagonists of the movie, we can mostly agree that they... succeeded... in... breaking a cycle... overcoming... some... things. Personally, I mostly see the Lost Girl being the 'reality layer', projecting her issues on a piece of fiction (Susan) and then the actress portraying those issues (Nikki), but I also see the merits in the more widespread theory that sees them as subsequent incarnations or whatever. Anyway. The thing is, they overcame whatever it is that they had to overcome (discussing the intepretations of which would exceed the purpose of this prompt), and I'd like to see them celebrate together. For art, a hug? A toast? Dancing together in the credits? For fic, anything that explores the connection between them, but on a happier note?

I am not opposed to ship fic in any combination, but I also genuinely like gen for this fandom. I am mostly here for interesting dynamics between characters, they do not have to be healthy. I know that season 3 is ongoing at the time of sign ups. I am current on listening so you can be as current as you would like, or pick up at any point you feel interested in writing from. I would love a darker fic set in this verse. These prompts are just suggestions, feel free to take inspiration, combine them, or write your own.

-I enjoy Simon’s ongoing communication with Alex. Why does he keep talking to her? Why does Alex go out of her way to continue talking to him?
-Nic is so cautious about everything. I’m sure he has opinions on things other than Alex’s journalistic ethics. What are his thoughts? I have listened to Tanis so if you want to add some insight based off his characterization there, I don’t have a problem with it, but since it’s not nommed feel free to pretend it doesn’t exist.
-Where does Richard see the future going? He just revealed all the tapes to Alex, and there are many. Does he want to continue investigating?
-Will Alex ever sleep again? Does Alex really want to keep following these tapes-is there a conclusion or does she want there to be?

Oh my goodness this show! Such good memories of my childhood. I love it very much. Again, any character any combination is fine with me. Understanding, that Xena and Gabrielle died and came back to life a few times, feel free to set something during a death phase if that’s what pleases you. I think the potential here for tricks with Ares is high.

For all that this show makes no sense, it’s raised (and ignored) interesting dynamics for all these characters. I see Stiles and Peter being an unwilling, unhealthy team. They both have a dark side, and Stiles is much more willing to fight his. Much more susceptible to being judged for doing what he has to do. Write all the unhealthy, manipulative stuff. Or maybe the three of them team up and get shit done in a very practical way. I do not ship incest in this case, but I wouldn’t mind if they’re all in the same pack, are overly close in non-sexual ways. They dynamic between the three of them could be very interesting.
