I think most of my nominations are straightforward. For two characters that don't have canonical character tags, I've nominated them on the pattern used for similar existing tags. So, under Omar Rayyan - Works, I've nominated Spanish Mackerel (Omar Rayyan - Works) on the same pattern as eg the existing Lady in Furs (Omar Rayyan - Works), and under Le città invisibili | Invisible Cities - Italo Calvino, I've nominated Euphemia (Invisible Cities) on the same pattern as the existing Isaura (Invisible Cities).

The one issue is with what in previous years I have nominated as Reynardine (Traditional Ballad) [further info]. This is how it's always previously appeared, and indeed how the only story in the fandom is tagged. It's also the same pattern as eg Tam Lin (Traditional Ballad), Thomas the Rhymer (Traditional Ballad) or Scarborough Fair (Traditional Ballad).

But for some reason, the canonical tag on AO3 has been changed to Reynardine | The Mountains High - Anonymous (Song). It seems a shame to lose the 'Traditional Ballad' part of the tag, which makes it quick in exchanges to see what ballads have been nominated, but if ToT has a policy of going with the canonical name, it should of course be the current piped version. The problem is the canonical character tags - the fair maid/young woman/young lady has been synned to The Farmer's Daughter, despite only being identified as that in some versions. If it's possible, I would really prefer to keep the less specific name (I have nominated her as The Young Woman), which applies equally to all versions of the song, including I think the majority of modern recordings.
