Community Challenge: Battleship

Every year there is a community challenge. This year we will be playing Battleship, the entire community against me. I’ve linked to the Wikipedia article.

In the game you have a 10x10 grid. The rows are A-J the columns are 1-10. On that grid I have hidden a carrier (5 tiles), a battleship (4 tiles), a cruiser (4 tiles), a submarine (3 tiles), and a destroyer (2 tiles).

In the game you call out a square on a grid, such a A7 (row A, column 7). I will say hit or miss. The goal is to find and sink all of my ships.

It would be a pretty short game if the community just got to freely call out squares. Instead, the community has to complete a certain goal in order to call out a specific square. You need to get number of works specified by the criteria.

The community does not need to do all of them to win the challenge, they just need to sink my ships.

The assignment of task to tile will be revealed with assignments, but for planning purposes, here are all one hundred tasks.

The numbers were loosely inspired by how much each tag was used last year, if at all.

2 gifts/person - Every person in the exchange has two gifts except for people that opted out of extra gifts and people that defaulted.

5 Ridiculous Disambiguations - If you look at the tagset I use nonsense disambiguation to keep certain characters from moving out of their fandoms. For example, all Marvel Cinematic Universe characters are disambiguated with "Moss Covered Unicorn." I'm able to remember that the characters go there because they share the initials MCU. "Ridiculous Disambiguation" means works that use ones of those nonsense disambiguations in them. Here are examples from previous rounds 1, 2, 3, 4. As you can see, they don't need to match the fandom that they came from.

No. Mature/Explicit on its own counts toward #24/H3 75 Mature/Explicit Works.
