Nominate

You can nominate six fandoms and six characters from each. Last year's eight and eight was a little too overwhelming for me.  Nominations will be open until Tuesday September 8, 23:59 Zulu time.

All traditional fandoms are eligible. RPF has a few special rules that you can read about in the faq. Fanworks as fandoms will be determined on a case by case basis.

Groups will not be accepted. 

If you want any specific fandom handled a certain way or differently from how I've listed then comment.

Specific Fandoms
Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion, and the Hobbit - split up by both title and medium.

Final Fantasy VII - all parts should be under Compilation of Final Fanasy VII

Final Fantasy X - should be under Final Fantasy X & X-2

Transformers - Split up by franchise/universe

Game of Thrones - Split between book and show

Hunger Games - book and movie combined

Doctor Who - Should be broken into its parts

Star Wars - Prequels together, original trilogy together, Clone Wars alone, Rebels alone,  Fore Awakens alone.  For expanded universe try to use best judgement

Star Trek - Split up by specific shows.  Characters from the TOS movies and the original pilot can go under TOS.  Characters from the TNG movies can go under TNG.  AOS should be grouped together in AOS.  Anyone shown or mentioned in the actual movies can be nominated under AOS.  Mirror universe counterparts must have shown up or been mentioned to be nominated.

Marvel Comics & DC Comics - Try to be a bit more specific then just the overall lines.  Try to do by universe or comic book title.

Fate/stay Night - combined

The "Ignis Scientia" tag wandered away from Final Fantasy XV and into the Kingdom Hearts fandom.

I'm trying to add the character "Jessica Jones" to the fandom for her own TV Series "Jessica Jones (TV)", which, as I understand it, is where this character's tag belongs, and am getting the following message:

Sorry! We couldn't save this tag set nomination because:

Someone else has already nominated the tag Jessica Jones for this set but in fandom Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat. (All nominations have to be unique for the approval process to work.) Try making your nomination more specific, for instance tacking on (Jessica Jones (TV))..

Can you please correct this? Jessica Jones (the character) should be associated with Jessica Jones (TV).

Hi, just nominate the character as Jessica Jones (Jessica Jones) for the time being. I haven't looked at the Patsy Walker nomination yet so I don't know if she appears in that comic or not. The issue you describe is an issue with many fandoms, especially ones like comic book movies. AO3 will only let a specific character tag be nominated under a single fandom even if they appear in multiple fandoms.

Nomination: Kit Fisto and Aayla Secura from Star Wars

I had a bit of a bother nominating these two. There doesn't seem to be an expanded universe tag for Star Wars (Is it Legends?) and they're also in the Prequels and Clone Wars.

I honestly am not sure how to sort them and if it would be easier on you to reject them, that makes total sense and I won't whine.

Aayla is already under both so I will reject them. Would you rather have Kit in Clone Wars or Prequel Trilogy?
