We currently have 958 accepted fandoms. I have just over 100 left to go through. I have not gone through and done many corrections yet, but if you see something that needs to be fixed then drop a message here.

This post will be edited as I have additional questions.

Unusual Tags - My new strategy for tags that wander even after disambiguation is to use ridiculous disambiguation. So if you see something with like "Moss Covered Unicorn" or "Dear Fishmonger" that was me.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (TV)
Framework AIDA (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) – She seems to be the same person as regular AIDA.

DC Prime Earth
Alan Scott – Did you mean New Earth or Earth 2? He doesn’t seem to exist on Prime Earth.
Jay Garrick – Did you mean New Earth or Earth 2? He doesn’t seem to exist on Prime Earth. He is already nominated under Earth 2.

Dragon Age (Video Games)
Dragon Age: Last Flight has been split from the video games.
Male Warden (Dragon Age) – The fandom guidelines specifically said to nominate based on Origin last name.

Hockey RPF
I have both Hockey RPF and Women’s Hockey RPF. Would you prefer I merge the two or have Men’s Hockey RPF and Women’s Hockey RPF?

Fate/stay night & Related Fandoms
It looks like I’ll need to divide this up into subfandoms. I was thinking one section for everything connected with the original Fate/stay night and then putting everything else into their own sections?

Green Gables Fables Did the nominator mean to nominate the books not the webseries as some characters are disambiguated with “(books)” added on? If no response is given I will assume that Green Gables Fables was intended and will accept it as such.

Marvel 616
Lunella Lafayette | Devil Girl – What is the difference between Lunella as Devil Girl and as Moon Girl?

Once Upon a Time (TV)
Liam (Once Upon a Time: Swan Song) & Liam Jones – Are these different characters?

Star Wars Legends - All Media Types – Is there any good way to subdivide this nomination or to rename it? Characters under it for reference.
Corran Horn
Jaina Solo
Mara Jade
Thrawn | Mitth'raw'nuruodo
Tycho Celchu
Ysanne Isard

Supergirl (TV 2015)
Clark Kent (Supergirl - don't migrate) – Nominator, I love you. Nothing wrong with your nomination. I just wanted to tell you that seeing someone disambiguate for migrating tags made me tear up a little.

The Chronicles of Chrestomanci - Diana Wynne Jones
the Dwight – I can find nothing on this character.

All nominations except the ones I have questions about have been processed.

Not my nomination, but if you don't get any other replies, I believe the Dwight is in fact the Dright, an antagonist in the Chrestomanci book The Lives of Christopher Chant.

Not my nomination but yes, they are very different characters

I believe the latter is correct formatting. Also I'm excited someone else nominated it!

I nominated in both Hockey RPF and Women's Hockey RPF and I would prefer them to be separate. While there may be some overlap in optional details if someone asks for het fic or wants a story about M&F hockey-playing siblings, the two fandoms generally function separately.

Uncategorized Fandoms > Machineries of Empire

should be under Books & Literature > Machineries of Empire Series - Yoon Ha Lee

Also, these two:

The Murderbot Diaries - Martha Wells
The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells

are the same fandom and belong under Books & Literature.

I was slack and missed the nominating deadline and am really glad someone else covered the things I wanted. :D

Sorry, I think I expressed myself unclearly.

Books & Literature > Machineries of Empire Series - Yoon Ha Lee
and
Uncategorized Fandoms > Machineries of Empire

which are both in your tag set, are duplicates too.

The character "Thomas Burke" appears under Original Work. Since this doesn't fit with the type of Original Work nominations allowed, he seems to have wandered from another fandom - there's also a Thomas Burke in Final Destination (Movies).

Thank you for all the work you do!

The character 'Sherlock Holmes (RDJ)' has managed to sneak into Hark! A Vagrant and Sherlock (TV). He's also under Sherlock Holmes (Downey films), where I assume he's supposed to be.

Star Wars isn't my nom but I'll take a crack at it.

Those are indeed all Legends characters. I'm not sure why you want to rename/subdivide it. Is it because of the "All Media Types" tag? Star Wars Legends mainly consists of novels but there are enough comic books (and maybe other media, I can't recall) that the canonical tag is AMT. You could perhaps make a Star Wars Legends novels tag if AMT is the issue?

If the issue is that the tag is too broad, then I am pretty sure these characters would all fit under "Star Wars Legends: New Republic Era - All Media Types". However, it depends when the original nominator intended to request them, as most of the characters live beyond the end of the New Republic.

As for splitting... if you go by where the characters first appeared (I've listed them below), it would be possible to split the characters into "Star Wars Legends: X-wing Series - Aaron Allston & Michael Stackpole" and "Star Wars Legends: Thrawn Trilogy - Timothy Zahn". However, there's a lot of crossover between the Legends sub-series and all of these characters appear in other series. (Corran Horn & Tycho Celchu both appear in Thrawn Trilogy, etc.)

Corran Horn - first appearance Missed Chance (prequel to X-Wing: Rogue Squadron)
Jaina Solo - first appearance The Last Command (Thrawn Trilogy #3)
Mara Jade - first appearance Heir to the Empire (Thrawn Trilogy #1)
Thrawn | Mitth'raw'nuruodo - first appearance Heir to the Empire (Thrawn Trilogy #1)
Tycho Celchu - first appearance Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron: The Rebel Opposition
Ysanne Isard - first appearance X-Wing: Rogue Squadron

Depending on how you categorize things, Thrawn may technically be All Media Types as he appears in the Rebels cartoon as well as Legends novels, but he does not appear in KOTOR. Although he's primarily associated with Legends.

Not the nominator, but . . .

Framework AIDA and regular AIDA are the same person, but since the Framework is something like an alternate reality, the nominator's probably planning to request Framework-specific scenarios. AIDA lives a whole separate lie in the Framework and the other characters in there with her believe the role, personality, and personal history that she's programmed for herself.

Personally, I don't think it's necessary to have the two AIDA's in the tagset. However, the nominator may be concerned that people offering her won't want to write about the Framework reality.

Hi, I'm one of the Fate/ people. Depending on what has and hasn't been nominated, I'd say that what you end up doing is dictated by that. Excluding Fate/Grand Order, Fate/Apocrypha, and a few others, most iterations connect to the primary visual novel. If you want to make sure that people get matched up though, I'd possibly just keep everything grouped together.

I'm also one of the nominators, and I nominated both Apocrypha and Grand Order. I really strongly want those to be separate so that their iterations of characters -- especially in Grand Order, which borrows so many characters from elsewhere in the franchise -- can be requested/offered without confusion.

I don't think it would help match people to combine them into one fandom; it would just limit who could request/offer the fandom, because you'd have to be familiar with all timelines instead of just the one you were interested in.

That's a fair point, especially with regards to Grand Order.

Perhaps the right approach would be to have /Zero, /Stay Night, and Case Files (I only know it's nominated because I did so) grouped together, since they all run in the same continuity, and then have GO and Apocrypha on their own? I...don't know if anything else is up for consideration.

That would work for me!

From looking at the characters in the tag set, that seems to cover almost everyone -- there's a nomination for Lancer Elizabeth Bathory that's disambiguated (EXTRA/CCC), but I'm not the nominator for that one so I don't know if they want her in that setting or if that was a Grand Order nomination with a misfired disambiguator.

The poor AO3 Fate/ tag mods have their work cut out when Grand Order mixes in with Extra CCC and other continuities. I suspect if Extra/CCC is also nom'd it would need to be separate too.

As I was going through flailing over all the characters, I noticed a pair of wandering tags:

Davina Claire (The Originals) has migrated herself to The Vampire Diaries. Which could have been an interesting crossover...

and

Norman Bates (Bates Motel) has time traveled into the future to Psycho (1960).

Spotted a duplicate/wandering tag: Jenette Vasquez is appearing under Borderlands (Video Games), but google suggests she really belongs under Alien Series.

I see that she's under her proper fandom as well, so no real harm done if there's no way to remove her from Borderlands, but if there is a way to remove her it'd probably be less confusing because there is a different character with the surname Vasquez in Borderlands.

I've also just noticed that True Detective and True Detective (TV) are both in the tagset. True Detective is listed under TV Shows, but True Detective (TV) is down in Unorganized Fandoms. This doesn't look like tag migration to me given the slight variation in the fandom name, but who knows for sure. Might just be something to look out for though!

You're welcome. :) Alas, I missed that my Gideon nomination would've wandered too (you'll find it duplicated under The Flash, unless you already caught it).

Sorry if this is coming in late - I just realized there's a "Rusty Lake (Video Game)" under Uncategorized Fandoms and a "Rusty Lake (Video Games)" under Video Games, and they have different sets of characters nominated under each. These are the same canon, and the character sets should probably be merged somehow for matching.
