I do have the tagset up and open. I was working on bringing in tags from last year to build a permanent tagset. I put a note saying to nominate if it was found because I assumed that only one or two people would stumble upon it and I didn’t expect it to be shared when found. That was pretty dumb of me and I am not ready to do full tagset work with everyone nominating new material.

Since it is out in the open, I’m putting anyone who wants to, to work. Pick any fandom from any previous round of Trick or Treat and nominate it with the characters. Disambiguate everything. If there is a ridiculous disambiguation in the tagset, then use the ridiculous disambiguation. I am only accepting tags from previous rounds right now.

At some point on Wednesdays and Saturdays I will temporarily close the tagset, work through the nominations, reset them, then reopen them so you can do another batch. I will be working on this until the normal beginning of the round on September 1. At that point you will get your real nomination slots and you will be able to add new fandoms and characters. You won’t be getting 10 fandoms and 20 characters for your real slots.

TL;DR Yes, I opened the tagset. No, I wasn't expecting it to be spread when found. But you can have free slots to bring over old tagset nominations. You will get your real nominations later, but it won't be 10 fandoms and 20 characters.

Edit: Anything not disambiguated or that hasn't been in a previous tagset will not be accepted during the moving tags over phase.

While we're here, we should probably start nominating the Arrowverse shows as "DC's Arrowverse " instead of doing it by individual show because it's so much easier that way and may help with the tag bloat.

Are you suggesting everything that is part of the Arrowverse be merged or just the core shows of Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman, and the spinoff cartoons?

I have not reached a final decision on separation versus merging for the actual exchange. But for the time being they will be merged under DC's Arrowverse.

If we don't move over a fandom and its characters from a previous year before official nominations open, will you move it over or will we be expected to nominate it when we get however many official nominations we get?

I will try and bring over as much as possible, but it is not a realistic goal to bring over everything from all the previous rounds.

i was trying to move over boku no hero academia, but there were four characters too many for the nomination. the form told me i couldn't submit the same fandom twice. so for documentation's sake, the four I couldn't nom were Tsukauchi Naomasa, Yamada Hizashi | Present Mic, Yaoyorozu Momo, and Monoma Neito.

I tried to bring over Puella Magi Madoka Magica, which included the character "Original Timeline Sakura Kyouko", but she was canonicalized as just Sakura Kyouko. I don't have a horse in this race either way, but I presume whoever nominated her in a previous tagset was specifically looking for that particular incarnation of Kyouko; does it not matter for this tagset?

Also, I tried to bring over Devilman Lady, but that nomination was rejected. Was that an error?

Devilman Lady was rejected by accident. I will add it in on Saturday on the next tagset closing.

I will look into the Madoka Magica tag and get back to you on that.

Hi, I tried to nominate Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and it autocorrected(?) to Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling when I hit save.

Not sure where to put this, but I noticed a problem in the eternal tagset for Death Note:

Ide Hideki L (Duck Napkins)

should likely be

Ide Hideki (Duck Napkins) and L (Duck Napkins) respectively. It seems they got smushed together somehow.

Hi, I'm bringing over the remaining tags from The Magnus Archives (Podcast) and just wanted to clarify that the character originally nominated as Antonio "Oliver" Blake in 2018 has since revealed his real name to be Oliver Banks, so that's the name I used for the eternal tagset.

Can't sleep, so I thought I'd finally move some noms over to help. Heads up that I put in the Elf | Elves (Dwarf Fortress) and Goblin | Goblins (Dwarf Fortress) tags (which I originally nominated in the 2015 tag set) as just Elf (Dwarf Fortress) and Goblin (Dwarf Fortress) to match the character singular format used in the later tag sets for Dwarf Fortress. I can change it back to the original if that's what you'd prefer.
