trickortreatexExcellent work, community detectives! You've reached 20+ works tagged Flowers or Costumes, and therefore finished interviewing makeup artist Nickelsmart and haberdasher Hellicent.
No need to continue to baker Catherine Catrina Catalina, because Hellicent has revealed that Detective Pumpkin never showed up for her suit-fitting.
Detective Pumpkin must have gone missing between the salon and the haberdashery. Please investigate the following local landmarks along the route to identify the crime scene.
***
To investigate, create a work with the tag assigned to that location. This can be your assignment or an extra treat for anyone whose requests lend themselves to the tag. To report your findings, post the work to the Trick or Treat 2026 collection. You may add the tag to applicable works you've already created.
Once a location's tag reaches 20 works, the Spirit of Halloween will review the evidence and announce the next step of the investigation.
The possible crime scenes are:
A local cemetery
Tag: Ghosts
A local Fall Festival
Tag: Carnival
A very very small local bookstore
Tag: Forced Proximity
See the community challenge introduction for more details.
