There will be sign up directions when it opens. If you want to get to work on your letters and such you can make 3-10 requests, one fandom per request, 1-10 characters, and art/fic. Matching for characters is OR based, so they only need to match one character to be potentially be assigned. You can include ideas and suggestions for both tricks and treats. You can also include a very clearly marked "Do Not Want" section for things that would not be fun for you to receive. The "Do Not Want" section is not for trying to force your writer/artist into a corner or to make sure they can only make you a trick or a treat.

Under Uncategorized Fandoms, there's Fairy Tale (anime), which going by the nominated characters should be Fairy Tail.

Okay. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it's done. I don't deal much with AO3, so I really don't know anything about how fic challenges hosted there work, or how they're integrated with DW/LJ.

Not my nomination, but Alec Trevelyan is a canon James Bond character. Not from the recent Daniel Craig 'verse, but from some of the (slightly) older stuff. He was 006 (before he jumped ship and turned evil).

I am aware that he is a canon character in older James Bond films. If the fandom was not nominated as specifically the Craig movies I would have accepted him.

Ah, I'm sorry, I think my English failed me there.

I was inadvertently suggesting that maybe the fandom overhead be changed to "James Bond (Movies)" since Alec is a real character. As long a "James Bond (Bond - Craig Movies)" and "Q (Bond - Craig movies)" stay specific to the Craig-verse, then I don't think it'll be a problem? But because I'm not the one who nominated it, I can't make that suggestion with any authority.

I'm slightly confused. Are you saying we can choose to request up to ten fandoms (obviously including some lets say I myself didn't nominate?). I'm probably just a little confused because I'm thinking this is a bit like Yuletide but there are obvious differences.

I'm sure i'll understand better when the sign up directions are up.

I didn't nominate "Freaks", but I hope nobody minds if I chip in anyway! Several of the characters in that movie simply used the names of the actual actors, including those two. I believe there is at least one instance where they're referred to by their first names (although I'm not entirely sure their last name is ever mentioned).

Hi, I nominated Freaks and I would like to confirm what galerian_ash has said. Pinhead Pip and Pinhead Zip were billed under these names for the movie but were always addressed by their real names of Elvira and Jenny Lee and Snow was their surname in real life. Hope that helps!!!

Thanks for the confirmation to both of you. I'll accept them in the format of "Elvira Snow | Pinhead Zip" to go with how AO3 generally does characters with multiple names.
